Louis M. Wilson, hornist, composer

 

Lou Wilson, french hornist and composer, majored in music at Santa Monica College. He has performed with the Santa Monica Symphony, the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony, and served a term in the Navy Band at Seattle. While in the Navy Band he also studied music under the tutelage of the famed composer Lockrem Johnson.

As a horn player, Mr. Wilson studied with Sinclair Lott, principal hornist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has worked with renowned choral and instrumental conductors such as Roger Wagner, Miklos Rosza, Ernest Gold, Mehli Mehta, Nelson Riddle, Ernst Katz, and Victor Bey.

Currently a computer software engineer living in Aurora, Oregon, Mr. Wilson has returned to his original love and career as composer and horn soloist.
